In addition to the commands given with regard to observing chastity, Islamic precepts deal with the relation between chastity and other precepts in such a way that performing the latter would result in observing the former in both individual and social dimensions. While expounding essentials of chastity as well as its effects and consequences, various precepts that contain it are extracted and explained. The relation between chastity and religious precepts is either that of conditioned-by-something, or that of negatively conditioned, or that of unconditioned. Searching various jurisprudential chapters and different religious precepts, especially with regard to acts of worship, in such subjects as purification, prayers, pilgrimage, marriage, divorce, etc., we found no single case of the relation of negatively conditioned. On the other hand, so many instances of manifestations of chastity in the jurisprudential precepts can be found in different parts of jurisprudence, including those dealing with acts of worship, in which the condition of chastity is taken into consideration. Such cases are often those in which the difference between man and woman plays a role. Although some other religious precepts are void of manifestations of chastity, they are not void of necessity of observing chastity. یکی از مهمترین اصول و فضایلی که در آموزه‌های دینی مورد تأکید قرار گرفته، اصل عفت و پاکدامنی است. در احکام اسلامی علاوه بر اینکه دستورات اکیدی برای رعایت عفاف وجود دارد و با ناقضان و حریم شکنان آن برخورد می‌شود، نسبت سایر احکام نیز با عفاف تبیین شده است؛ به گونه‌ای که انجام احکام، متضمن رعایت و تحکیم عفاف در بعد فردی و اجتماعی می‌شود. در بررسی‌های انجام شده، ضمن تبیین مبانی عفاف و آثار و پیامدهای آن، احکام گوناگون عبادی که متضمن عفاف بوده‌اند، شناسایی و تبییین و تشریح شد. نسبت عفاف با احکام شرعی، از سه صورت بشرط‌لا، لابشرط و بشرط‌شیء خارج نیست. با تتبع در ابواب گوناگون فقهی و احکام مختلف شرعی بویژه عبادی، در موضوعات مختلف مانند: طهارت، نماز، حج، نکاح، طلاق و حدود و...، موردی از بشرط‌لا و یا عدم عفاف یافت نشد. از طرف دیگر مصادیق متعددی از جلوه‌های عفاف در ابواب مختلف فقهی از جمله عبادی یافت می­شوند، به گونه‌ای که رعایت اصل عفاف در آنها اخذ شده است و غالباً این موارد را می­توان در احکامی که بین زن و مرد تفاوت وجود دارد، یافت. در برخی از احکام شرعی هم هر چند جلوه‌ای از عفاف در آنها دیده نمی شود، ولی به معنای عدم ضرورت عفاف در آنها نیست. https://jjfil.ut.ac.ir/article_70209_651136fefea04104196b7383a5e8cb42.pdf
